What a GST Tax Invoice Must Contain

- HSN/SAC codes for each item (4 digits for turnover up to ₹5 crore, 6 digits above)
- Taxable value, GST rate per item, and the tax break-up — CGST + SGST for same-state sales or IGST for inter-state
- The total amount, commonly also written in words
